A Message from Matt to close the year

Yesterday marked the 15th anniversary of the announcement of my first podcast; a project that introduced a medium still largely unknown to the Maltese market at the time. Back then, I could never have imagined that, after all these years, I would still be podcasting. But here we are, 15 years later.

2024 has been nothing short of eventful. It’s been a rollercoaster of challenges, growth, and achievements. I’ve faced significant hurdles, including losing a close friend and having not one but two co-hosts stepping away mid-production. I also relocated and began work on a new studio, which was both exciting and daunting. Following a brief period of uncertainty, I expanded operations by teaming up with a great partner and friend. Together, we created Cavemen Studios, marking a new chapter in my journey. One of our first major achievements was producing the Maltiverse, making it the first podcast we produced for someone else.

Pre-production on several projects for 2025 is already underway, and despite the hiccups with co-hosts, we’ve stayed on track and continued to push forward. This year, we relaunched the Cavemen Podcast not once but twice (which might qualify as some kind of world record in podcasting—at least in terms of frequency!).

One major highlight this year was earning a legacy channel on one of our platforms, a milestone that reflects 15 years of hard work and persistence. We also had the privilege of collaborating with many new and talented people, further enriching our journey.

The ups and downs of this year have been a reminder of what this journey is all about. There were moments when I felt like throwing in the towel, but those challenges only reinforced my determination. This year has been an eye-opener, rekindling my hunger to achieve our goals and setting the stage for an exciting future.

As 2025 approaches, we’re gearing up for several ambitious projects that I believe will resonate with everyone who has supported Cavemen over the years. I can’t wait to share these with you in the months to come. But for now, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you. To everyone who has supported us in any way, shape, or form over the years: your encouragement means the world to me and the team.
