Jay Zammit

Jason ‘Jay’ Zammit – Born & raised in the tropical seaside resort of Toronto, Canada – so long ago there is actually no physical record of this ever happening, apart from the Plaque on the wall of the neonatal ward in the hospital he was born in commemorating his brave Mum’s 24 Hour labour due to the sheer size of his melon! (Seriously, look at the size of that HEAD!).

Jay moved over to Gozo in the summer of 1991 where he quickly made a name for himself as a budding voice over artist when he was used for the launch campaign of the all new Pepsi Max at the tender age
of 20. He never looked back, securing a weekend breakfast DJ gig on Gozo’s first and only ever FM Radio Station, Calypso 102. Island Sound Radio was the next port of call in 1995 when he was asking to take over the Drive Time slot on 101.8 FM until the lure of helping set up a
brand new radio station from scratch in 2003 came calling and thus XFM 100.2 was born!

Jay has since worked with stations all over the world with weekly Rock show on Cairo’s NILE FM in the mid-00’s to providing radio stations in Jordan, Spain and the UAE with their signature brand voice. After
a short hiatus, Jay relaunched XFM 100.2 in 2014 and created the Biggest Breakfast Show the island has ever seen. A model that has since been applied to nearly ever station’s drive time shows in the
country. Although now retired from Live radio, Jay is still very active in the Voice Acting world and now applies his 30 year media & marketing experience to the Digital Marketing world as the Head of Biz Dev for local Digital Hotshots Untangled Media Ltd.
